Course introduction Global English

What did you learn in this lesson?For today, before we start the lesson, we had to present the group work about Global Englishes, EFL, ESL, EIL, and the role of English from last week. When we finished our presentation teacher showed the VDO about World Englishes by David Crystal about two times. After that, teacher let us shared the ideas from the VDO and Then we discuss about the video that we watched in our group and each group presented in front the class.

             Then teacher summarized about global Englishes, EFL, ESL, EIL, ENL and gave us more knowledge and more understand. At the last, teacher assigned us to search about the difference between TESL and TEFL and how to implication in teaching English.

what did you find easy?
I think this lesson is easy because teacher assigned to find the information about Global Englishes, EFL, ESL, EIL, and the role of English before so I understand more and I can share the ideas in my group.

What did you find difficult?
This lesson is difficultly because the vocabularies that I found in the articles are difficult for me.

What did you solve the problem?
This lesson is difficult, but I tried to find information more and  I tried to find the word that I didn’t know and one of importance thing that I always use in solve the problem is reading and reviewing the lesson, It can help me  to understand more.
What did you attitudes towards the lesson?

I felt happy and fun in this lesson because I have already learned in the last lesson, it made me understand more in the lesson.

What did you learn in this lesson?
         Today, I studied seminar in English Language Teaching with Asst. Prof. Dr.Usa Noytim, Teacher assigned us to work in group and discuss about Global Englishes, EFL (English as a foreign Language), ESL (English as a second Language), EIL (English as an international Language), roles of English as a global language and roles of English in Thailand and England.


The knowledge about Global Englishes, EFL, ESL, EIL.

What did you find easy?

I think this lesson is easy to understand because last semester I have already learned with AJ.Putsadee, so it easy to share idea in our group and summarizing the information.

What did you find difficult?
In this period, we have to find the information more about Global Englishes, EFL, ESL, EIL and some information very difficult to analyze because I don’t know the meaning of vocabulary.

What did you solve the problem?

This lesson is difficult; I have to solve the problem by reading a lot of articles or research and find some vocabulary in dictionary online.

What did you attitudes towards the lesson?
In my attitude, I think this lesson very interested and importance.
We need to know and understand in this lesson for to be a teacher in the future. I felt happy and fun to study this lesson because I have already learned in last semester.

What did you learn in this lesson?
today is Tuesday.  I had Seminar in English Language Teaching class in the morning with Asst. Prof. Dr.Usa Noytim. First of all, teacher introduced about course descriptions, course objectives and course content.Then, teacher assigned us to make group of eight people for discuss about main topic about methodology there are 4 topics.

1. English Teaching Methodology 1
2.English Language Assessment and Evaluation
3.Learning English through projects
4. Cultural of native speakers
 In our group got the first topic “English Teaching Methodology 1” this subject are consist of 7 topics.
1. Different Approaches
2.Steps of Teaching  ppp
3.Techniques in Teaching Vocabulary
4. Techniques in Teaching Grammar
5.Teaching Listening and Speaking
6.Communicative activities
7.Teaching Reading and writing
After that each groups presented in front of the classroom.

What did you find easy?

In my opinion, I think this lesson is easy for me because the content that we have to discuss in our group we've learned already so it easy to understand and share idea with my friends.
What did you find difficult?
I think this course is difficult for me because in the class we have to analyze and interpret about the articles. It’s very hard to analyze and interpret the articles because in reading the articles we have to read a lot of contents. It's hard to make understanding all of the articles.
What did you solve the problem?
I solve the problem by reading a lot of articles and try to make understanding in the articles. I have to practice my reading skill and develop in analytical thinking skill.

What did you attitudes towards the lesson?
In my attitude for Seminar in English Language Teaching course, I felt happy in this period because the teacher started with the easy topic to discuss.
